simulai.xyz

A simulation is a thought, formalised. The model — 模 — is the seed; the run is the garden in which it grows. simulai.xyz is a quiet study of that growth.

弁証 — dialectic

On models and their gardens.

A model is a position; a simulation, an argument with itself. We invite the model to disagree with its own forecasts, to mistrust its first impressions, to revise — and only then to speak. The garden is patient. So is the work.

公理 — axiom

First principles, sparingly.

We hold few axioms, but hold them well. That a simulation must be reversible until it is committed. That an unobserved run leaves no record, and therefore no debt. That every parameter has a name, and a reason to bear it.

Each principle is a stone, placed by hand. The placement matters as much as the stone.

円相 — enso, completeness

A complete circuit.

The full simulation is one circle: hypothesis, run, observation, revision, return. We do not optimise for speed. We optimise for the closure of the loop, again, and again, and again, until the form holds.

階層 — hierarchy

A study in three layers.

The substrate.

A small library, a small kernel, a small set of guarantees. Written once, slowly. Audited each season.

The model.

A learned shape, conditioned on the substrate. Ten thousand revisions, each smaller than the last. The shape becomes a habit.

The world.

The world receives only what survives the previous two layers. Most things do not survive. This is, on examination, a kindness.

余白 — yohaku, the empty space

What is left out.

There are no dashboards here. No pricing. No tier comparisons or feature checklists. The decision to exclude is itself a design — yohaku, the empty space that gives the rest its meaning.

If you have read this far, you understand. Welcome.
