No. 01
River Topology
A simulation of data flow through layered networks, rendered as braided river systems. The basin is the model; the tributaries are gradients; the delta is inference.
— a catalog of simulation craft —
A portfolio of simulation technology, presented as it deserves to be: as craft. Hold it like a leather-bound book; turn each page slowly.
PREFACE
Simulation technology is rarely loud. The systems that matter most often run unannounced — beneath weather reports, behind drug discovery, inside the rehearsal halls of policy. This catalog does not introduce you to the future. It invites you to consider, in detail, the small, refined instruments that already make it.
Each page that follows is a single piece of work. Approached individually, it is technical. Read end-to-end, it becomes an argument: that simulation, like any craft, deserves attention to its joinery, its materials, and the hands that built it.
— Section I —
Four selected works from the simulation catalog, drawn from the present and recent past.
No. 01
A simulation of data flow through layered networks, rendered as braided river systems. The basin is the model; the tributaries are gradients; the delta is inference.
No. 02
Neural architectures, depicted with the patience of botanical illustration. The crown is the output; the roots branch in fractal precision toward the conditions that nourished them.
No. 03
High-fidelity weather rehearsal systems, presented as atmospheric paintings. Each ensemble member is a brushstroke; the forecast is the composition that emerges when one steps back.
No. 04
A study in numerical methods. Discrete approximations rendered as tiled brass plates, their joinery catching light differently as one moves around the work.
— Section II —
A brief technical inventory. The catalog is for connoisseurs of detail.
