The Luminous Veil
-- transcribed under the waning crescent, year of the silver moth --
In the deepest heart of the forest, where the canopy weaves so thick that daylight becomes a mere rumor, there exists a phenomenon the old scribes called the Luminous Veil. It is not a spell one casts, but rather one that the forest bestows upon those patient enough to wait in its shadowed embrace.
The Veil manifests as a curtain of softly glowing particles -- not quite light, not quite matter -- that drifts between the ancient oaks during the three nights surrounding each new moon. Those who have witnessed it describe the sensation of stepping through a doorway woven from starlight and spider silk, after which the forest reveals itself as it truly is: a vast, breathing network of luminous threads connecting every root, branch, and creature in an intricate web of living magic.
Note: The Veil responds to intention. Approach with wonder; never with demand.
