a daily paper construction
Each day, mujun.day opens like a fresh paper construction. Ideas live on layers, cut from coloured card stock, glued in place, and propped up with hidden tabs.
Three to four pastel layers float at different depths, stitched only by light. Atmospheric perspective softens the back; sharp shadows pin the front. The result is a quiet diorama -- sky, mountain, label.
Cut a shape from the front layer and the layers behind become visible -- a circle, a star, a rounded rectangle. Discovery happens through limitation: you only see what the paper allows.
When a panel folds open, its shadow intensifies in the middle of the rotation -- the paper bends, catches light, then settles flat. Tap a fold to refold it. The page is allowed to be a toy.
.day suggests rhythm: a new paper construction every morning, snipped and glued before coffee cools. Some days are simple labels. Other days are full pop-up scenes with hidden tabs.
