Water, food, blankets, batteries. The physical things that make survival possible. Collected, sorted, and distributed by people who showed up.
Who needs what, where it is, how to get there. Information is the infrastructure that connects all other infrastructure. Pass the word.
Write it down. What happened, what worked, what failed. The next community that faces this crisis will need our notes, not our optimism.
The slow work after the urgency fades. Rebuilding not what was, but what's needed now. Recovery is not returning -- it's becoming.
When the need passes, we fold up. No bureaucratic inertia, no empire-building. Temporary organizations are honest about their own expiry date.
A need appears. People gather. No bylaws, no charter -- just agreement: we will do this thing, together, for as long as it takes.

The crisis ebbs. Demand decreases. The organization begins to release its functions -- handing responsibilities to permanent institutions or simply stopping, because stopping is a valid decision.
Everything documented. Lessons learned, contacts preserved, templates saved. The organization's knowledge becomes a gift to the future, even as its operations cease.
Not death -- dormancy. The network sleeps. The people return to their lives. And if the need arises again, the seeds are already planted. Rinji is ready to be temporary again.
