ACT I

persona.quest

We begin behind the mask. The one we chose so long ago we forgot it was a choice.

ACT II

The Performance

Every room requires a different face. The professional. The friend. The lover. The stranger. We cycle through them with the fluency of a seasoned actor, never pausing to ask which role is closest to the truth.

The audience believes the performance. So do we. That is the danger.

ACT III

The Crack in the Mask

A moment comes when the mask slips. Not dramatically -- just enough for you to feel the cold air between your face and the facade. Who are you when no one is watching?

ACT IV

The Unveiling

Beneath the mask there is not another face but a question. The quest was never to find the true self hiding underneath. The quest is to understand why we needed the mask at all.

The unveiled face is not braver or more honest. It is simply more aware of the performance it cannot stop giving.

ACT V

The Return

The mask goes back on. But now you wear it differently. Lightly. Knowingly. A costume, not a prison. The quest ends where it began -- behind the mask -- but the person wearing it has changed.
