Every bean begins as a cherry on a branch, high in the mountains where clouds touch the earth. We source from single estates in Ethiopia, Colombia, and Sumatra — places where altitude and rainfall conspire to produce extraordinary flavors.
The ocean journey from origin to cup is one we take seriously. Our beans travel by sea, aging gently in the salt air, arriving with a depth of character that air-freight can never replicate.
We wash, dry, and sort by hand. No shortcuts. The green beans rest in jute sacks that still carry the scent of their homeland.
When the time is right, we roast in small batches — never more than five kilograms — listening to the crack, watching the color shift from green to gold to rich mahogany.
