Soft Topology
A study of fluid contour fields generated from layered conic gradients, sampled in real time.
Studio — est. 2019 — Seoul / everywhere
muhan.studio (| 無限 | infinity) is a creative studio working at the intersection of generative code, design systems and atmospheric media. We make tools, identities and installations that quietly keep drawing themselves.

A study of fluid contour fields generated from layered conic gradients, sampled in real time.
A wordmark and motion system for a quiet ceramics studio in Kyoto. The mark slowly breathes between two states.
An audio-reactive ceiling installation built from 1,200 LED rings. Each ring listens to one frequency band and answers in light.
An ongoing series of plotter prints. Each print is a single uninterrupted line that never crosses itself.
Title sequence for a documentary on infinite recursion in nature.
A generative cover system for an independent publisher. Every book gets a unique gradient field seeded from its ISBN.
A site-specific sound piece composed entirely of recorded silences from twelve different rooms across the world.
Procedural pattern engine used to generate textile prints for a small-batch fashion label.
A nine-second motion identity loop, exported as 270 frames.
A mirror installation that returns your reflection delayed by one full minute. Visitors meet the version of themselves who arrived a minute ago.
Real-time generative wallpapers for a flagship cafe in Sapporo. Each wall is its own slow-moving universe of light.
A monospaced wordmark, a typographic menu, and a quiet gradient palette inspired by espresso crema.
A 47-minute album mixing analog synths with wind, water and rain.
A small library of plant-like generative compositions exploring the golden angle and its near misses.
Identity, motion system and stage visuals for an experimental sound festival held in a 12th-century stone quarry.
A 14-meter projected ribbon that walks the length of a gallery, never quite meeting itself.
A web-based generative weather system used as an ambient screen-saver.
An identity for a small jazz label, with a sleeve system that lets every album bleed into the next on the shelf.
A walk-in installation whose walls slowly forget the colors of the people that step inside, and remember new ones.
A counterweight to entry 05. The same line, played in reverse.
A typographic experiment that turns paragraph rhythm into a visible score.
A long-running web piece. Once an hour, a single bell rings somewhere in the world. The site listens, and re-broadcasts.
Our own internal brand manual: a 96-page printed object that doubles as a generative book whose covers are never the same twice.
A four-minute reel that plays in an endless loop on a single muted screen at the studio entrance.
— about the studio
muhan.studio is a small, deliberately-sized practice working between Seoul and the network. We collaborate with cultural institutions, independent labels, and product teams who care about the slow parts of design: typography, motion, atmosphere, code as material.
Most of our work is built once, then keeps drawing itself. Identities that stay alive on a server. Installations that listen. Tools that hand the pen back to the people using them.
