春 — the season that breaks the parking lot
✿ haru.quest is not a website, it is a proof sheet that escaped the studio. Five bento boards, each a complete composition, each rearranging the same vocabulary of poems, pressed flowers, footnotes and manifestos. The grid is visible. The grid is the protagonist. Watch it get made, broken, and remade. Scroll is a page turn. The cursor is a registration cross. Every flower is one ink. Every mistake is an assertion.
✿MAGNOLIA × soulangeana. Blooms before its leaves. A goblet on a bare branch. Smells faintly of lemon and ozone. Field note: arrives during a cold snap, on purpose, to prove a point.
✿DANDELION, pressed. A clock with no hands. Catalogued as a weed; behaves like a firework. Field note: do not blow on the specimen sheet.
✿WISTERIA, vine. Grows faster than the trellis can be built. A purple waterfall stuck mid-fall. Field note: structural; will lift a porch roof if encouraged. Pairs with patience and regret in equal measure. Cut hard in winter.

nothing owes us spring
✿ Pressing flattens a season into a sheet. The colour stays. The smell goes. The shape becomes evidence. We keep the evidence and call it an archive.
specimen weight: negligible — moisture: zero — provenance: a sidewalk crack, undated — condition: defiant —
this is a hostage note. spring has the city. it is not negotiating.

about the ceremony
1. open every window. 2. forgive the weeds. 3. stop apologising for the colour pink.
a ransom note is just a manifesto with worse handwriting. ours is set in four fonts because we could not agree, and disagreement is the point. do not pay. just bloom.
