Field Notes

If you walk long enough the city stops being addresses and starts being weather. Puddles become mirrors. A sole print is a signature you didn't mean to sign.

I keep these because somebody should — the soft archaeology of a Tuesday, the way a footstep ripples outward in concrete that is no longer wet but remembers.

Getting lost on purpose is the only honest map. The notebook fell open here. You're already further than you think.
