The identity protocol beneath the surface
The Protocol
Layer 2 operates beneath the visible surface of digital identity. It is an abstraction layer -- a protocol that transforms the fluid, organic complexity of human identity into precise, verifiable geometric proofs.
Where traditional systems impose rigid schemas, Layer 2 embraces the morphic nature of identity: something that flows between states, that is simultaneously organic and structured, amorphous and crystalline.
The protocol does not capture identity. It creates the conditions under which identity can express itself -- securely, minimally, and with sovereign authority.
Architecture
Base Infrastructure
The foundational substrate upon which all identity operations are anchored. Immutable, decentralized, and cryptographically secured.
Identity Protocol
The verification engine. Zero-knowledge proofs validate identity claims without exposing underlying credentials. State channels reduce latency while preserving security.
User Interface
Where identity meets experience. Applications consume Layer 2 proofs to deliver seamless, privacy-preserving authentication across any platform or chain.
Geometric Primitives
Unity and completeness. The circle represents the holistic nature of identity -- without beginning or end, encompassing all facets.
Efficiency and structure. The hexagon tessellates perfectly -- each identity interlocking with its neighbors in the verification mesh.
Hierarchy and proof. The triangle embodies the three-party verification model: prover, verifier, and the protocol itself.
Foundation and stability. The square grounds the protocol in immutable commitments -- four corners, four guarantees: privacy, sovereignty, persistence, interoperability.
Negotiation and consensus. Eight sides representing the multi-stakeholder governance model that ensures protocol evolution without centralized control.
Value and permanence. The diamond crystallizes identity into its most durable form -- compressed, faceted, and resistant to degradation.
Beneath every surface,
a deeper protocol.
Layer 2 is currently in closed development. The protocol continues to evolve -- from organic intuition toward geometric certainty.
