02 SECTION
Board-formed concrete surface with wood grain impressions
FIG. 01 — BOARD-FORMED CONCRETE, AGGREGATE VISIBLE, FORMWORK SEAM AT MID-HEIGHT

gunsul.quest is a structural documentation of built form. This site serves as a specification archive for construction methodology, material studies, and engineering principles applied to digital space. No decoration. No persuasion. Only load-bearing information presented in its raw state.

03 STATEMENT

STRUCTURE IS HONESTY.
ORNAMENT IS CRIME.

04 DETAIL
Steel rebar grid casting geometric shadows 80mm
FIG. 02 — REBAR GRID, 12MM DEFORMED BAR @ 200MM C/C, TIE WIRE VISIBLE

Every structural member carries load. The rebar grid is invisible in the finished form but determines the strength of the entire system. Reinforcement is not seen. It is trusted. The specification exists so the engineer can verify without exposing what lies within the pour.

05 SECTION
Scaffolding structure against overcast sky
FIG. 03 — SCAFFOLDING ASSEMBLY, ELEVATION WEST, OVERCAST 1600H

Scaffolding is temporary structure that enables permanent structure. It is erected, used, and dismantled — leaving no trace on the final form. The scaffold does not seek credit. It exists in service of the pour, the cure, the strip. When the formwork comes off, only the concrete remains.

06 DETAIL
Exposed aggregate concrete surface detail
FIG. 04 — EXPOSED AGGREGATE, SURFACE FINISH CLASS F4, 20MM NOMINAL

The aggregate is the truth of concrete. Sand, gravel, crushed stone — bound by cement paste into a monolithic mass. When the surface is exposed, the internal composition is revealed. There is no veneer. The material is what it is, through its entire cross-section.
