ALPINE SURVEY DOCUMENTATION — FIELD REGISTRY v.MMXXVI

DESCEND

TERRAIN REPORT

The upper basin presents a mixed-conifer composition above the 2200m contour line, transitioning to sub-alpine fir stands at intermediate elevation. Survey instrumentation recorded persistent magnetic deviation of 2.3° east, attributed to subsurface magnetite deposits along the primary fault structure.

Traverse conditions: moderate technical exposure on northeast aspects. Rock quality grades as FAIR to POOR on the standard Yosemite Decimal System substrate index. Ice presence confirmed on north-facing couloirs above 2600m through late survey season.

Primary access: Forest Service Road 47-NW, terminal at trailhead registry point NW-47-121. Secondary approach via ridgeline traverse from adjacent grid sector, marked on Chart Series 7400-NW.
