Specimens were never meant to be kept. They escape, given enough time. The cabinet door warps. The pin loosens. The pressed petal remembers, briefly, that it was once a verb. We catalogue them anyway -- not to preserve, but to witness the leaving.
What you find inside these pages is not an inventory. It is a record of opposing things: the architect's swelling dome and the botanist's quiet stem, the digital clip-path and the hand-cut copperplate, the wish to hold and the willingness to let go.

Read this the way you would read a hand-scroll: wide and shallow, allowing the eye to drift sideways before it can drop. The page resists the column. The shape of the room decides the shape of the sentence.
Bamboo grows hollow. Wisteria climbs only what is given. Both are corrections to the architect's drawing -- one says strength is a kind of emptiness, the other says direction is borrowed from a host.
