a single point of infinite attraction.

i. the koan

a single pole

Imagine a magnet from which only one face exists -- north without south, attraction without reciprocation. The monopole is a particle theorized but never observed, a koan whispered between equations. Its existence would rewrite the symmetry of Maxwell's laws and unify the language of light and matter.

We borrow its name as a meditation on convergence. Every line of force, every drift of dust, every breath of attention drawn inward to a single contemplative point.

ii.

three stones

tenchi

the heaven stone

Tallest of the three, set slightly apart. It does not seek attention — it presides. Above it, the void of unwritten sky.

jin

the human stone

The middle distance. The witness. It is the smallest yet anchors the composition — without its quiet presence, the others lose their relation.

chi

the earth stone

Lowest, broadest, holding the ground. Where the others reach upward, this one settles. The composition rests upon it as a brushstroke rests upon paper.

the space between stones is also stone.

iii.

all that converges
