In Japanese aesthetics, ma is not emptiness. It is the pause between notes that gives music its breath, the silence between words that makes language resonant. We built this bar on that principle.
The door does not have a sign. The room does not have a menu board. What is offered is offered once, quietly, to those who ask. The space does the rest.
We believe a great drink requires no selling. The glass does not explain itself.
Spirits selected for structural integrity, not trend. Japanese whisky, umeshu aged beyond patience, awamori from Okinawa's limestone aquifer.
Each drink is a composition in restraint. Two or three elements, never four. The fourth element is always silence.
In hand-blown vessels sourced from a single glassblower in Niijima. The glass is part of the drink.
Reservations are made in person or by handwritten note. If you wish to send a message, you may.
