welcome to the current era
a tiny field note from now
what's this?
reiwa.boo is a grainy little zine about living through the current era: pandemic afterglow, midnight konbini light, group chat tenderness, and the weird comfort of a cute ghost saying, yeah, same.
It starts with cherry blossoms and a new name in 2019, then swerves into solitude, social media vertigo, and a generation trying to make analog warmth out of digital noise.

risograph tenderness
the vibe
Imagine a Tokyo-life zine photocopied at a convenience store at 3 AM. Neon ink is slightly off-register. The paper is rough. Every margin has a nervous doodle pretending it is casual.
chaotic tenderness, but make it printed, imperfect, and a little surprised by its own sincerity.
peel back the page
layers on layers
This page refuses a tidy grid. It is a stack of planes: flat color fields, floating stickers, hand-sketched borders, and a fixed grain layer that makes every pixel feel photocopied.
tiny coded stickers
motifs, not photos
No stock images wander in here. Everything is drawn in SVG, CSS, text, or a slightly wobbly line: ghost, ramen bowl, train ticket, torii gate, stars, arrows, little questions.
Hover the stickers. They lift like somebody is peeling them from the page, then change their mind.

scribble underline protocol
Important phrases get a wavy hand-drawn underline, because a straight line would be suspiciously calm.
dopamine, flat and loud
the colors
The palette is industrial darkness colliding with Akihabara glow. Backgrounds stay flat and opaque. Gradients only get invited to dance around borders.

say hi
If a page could text you from a platform at midnight, it might sound like this: hey, the era is weird, but your little drawings count. keep going.
