Plate IIEtymology

gap / value · price · worth

one word, two weights

In Korean, 값 carries the market's number and the heart's measure. It names what something costs, yet also what it deserves to mean after a hand has held it awhile.

Notes from the meadow

Observed at late afternoon: value changes color when moved from palm to table, from shop window to memory. Clover and cosmos do not ask to be rare. They simply keep their form with conviction.

A price is a label. Worth is the root system beneath it.
