bioluminescent portfolio / procedural works

desca.works

A descent through coded spores, fern mathematics, luminous interfaces, and living systems that describe themselves in light.

specimens surfaced from the dark

works as organisms

Each study is rendered as a small synthetic lifeform: not a screenshot, but a glowing procedural thumbnail grown from its own title.

2026 / system map

Mycelium Atlas

Network drawings for teams tracing hidden knowledge paths through product ecosystems.

2025 / interface ecology

Soft Machine Garden

Playful controls for simulations that bloom rather than load.

2025 / archive

Lumen Archive

A memory browser where entries pulse like plankton under glass.

2024 / code object

Coral Compiler

Visual grammars for branching snippets into reusable living components.

2024 / sound field

Spore Radio

An audio-reactive field of particles that turns quiet signals into drifting constellations.

process / descent method

tracing forms until they begin to answer

I start with a rule: a spiral, a split, a pressure, a pulse. The rule is allowed to behave before it is asked to explain itself.

Interfaces become habitats for attention. Motion is never decoration here; it is evidence that the system is breathing.

The finished work keeps a little mystery intact: legible enough to enter, strange enough to keep glowing after the screen goes dark.

send a warm signal into the forest

let the next organism grow from a conversation.
