A midnight herbarium of patient trees, inked roots, and slow green intelligence.

PLATE I · ETYMOLOGIA

The word stands upright

나무 names the tree not as resource, but as presence: a vertical patience held between weather and soil. In the quiet syllables lives a sheltering form, a thing that grows by listening.

Here the atlas opens at night. Brass light touches the margin; spores drift through the study air; each branch is recorded with the care reserved for constellations.

PLATE II · CANOPIA

On the grammar of branches

A canopy is a sentence written in forked clauses. The trunk proposes, the boughs qualify, the leaves annotate with green marginalia until light itself is footnoted.

In the forest, knowledge does not arrive as a proclamation. It filters. It dapples. It is made legible by interruption.

xylem-rise: 31.8m · crown-spread: 19.2m · shade-density: 0.74

PLATE III · RADIX OCCULTA

The hidden half remembers

Below the visible architecture lies an equal and inverse scripture. Roots keep dark correspondence with stone, rain, fungus, and the buried histories of leaves.

The old botanists drew what they could see. namu.land attends also to what the lamp cannot reach: the nourishing blackness, the quiet treaty underground.
