An independent publisher of botanical monographs. Grid, colophons, and a set of letterpress endpapers.
cbdc.studio is a small atelier working at the quiet seam between Swiss typographic discipline and the soft grammar of a wildflower meadow. Every page is a pressed specimen — arranged with care, kept for its colour.

Design, for us, is a form of pastoral husbandry — patient, seasonal, tended with tools passed down from Basel and from grandmothers with herbariums.
We believe the grid is not a cage. It is a garden wall — something that keeps the meadow from running into the road, nothing more. Inside it, the work may be soft, rounded, a little wild at the edges.
Swiss rigour in service of warmth. Every grid line drawn
with the care of someone tending a garden.
Our palette is borrowed from the jewel cases of antiquarians — amethyst, emerald, sapphire, ruby, topaz — but we never let the gems sit on black velvet. They rest on cream linen, catching the afternoon.
We take few clients, and we take our time. A brand identity is not a sprint; it is a season. Please come in the spring, and stay, if you can, until the light turns in late October.
The atelier opens commissions in late spring and autumn. Tell us who you are and what season you'd like to be ready by.
