The Herbarium

2026.04.27 — Field Notes

Every prototype begins as a seed of curiosity planted in fertile ground. This conservatory houses the type specimens of ideas that grew beyond their original pots — projects that started as weekend experiments and developed root systems deep enough to sustain themselves.

The word prototypic carries dual meaning: the first of its type, and characteristic of a category. Each project here aspires to both definitions — to be original in execution and archetypal in purpose. They are not products; they are specimens, carefully cultivated and preserved for study.

Like any good herbarium, this collection is organized not by chronology but by taxonomy. Related specimens are grouped by the problems they solve, the patterns they explore, the ecosystems they inhabit. Some are perennials, maintained across seasons. Others are annuals that bloomed once, brilliantly, and left their seeds in the soil for future growth.

The conservatory is always accepting new specimens. If you have a cutting to share or a cultivar to cross-pollinate, the greenhouse door is open.
