Rosa Prototypica
A perennial shrub of moderate vigor, first catalogued in the highland meadows of the eastern territories. The specimen exhibits pentamerous floral symmetry with deeply pigmented petals displaying a gradient from oxidized burgundy at the margins to a pale, almost translucent rose at the central whorl. Leaf morphology presents as alternately compound with serrated margins, each leaflet bearing a prominent midrib and seven secondary veins branching at approximately 42-degree angles from the central axis.
The root system extends laterally to a radius of approximately 1.2 metres, with a primary taproot descending to 0.8 metres in well-drained loam substrates. Notable for its symbiotic relationship with mycorrhizal networks, which appear to enhance nutrient uptake efficiency by a factor of 3.7 compared to non-colonized specimens in controlled conditions.
