MiRiS
ミリス
A game-making circle. We build worlds in dimly-lit rooms, fueled by curiosity and too much coffee. Welcome to the tavern.

Lantern Hollow
A lantern flickers in a hollow beneath ancient roots. You descend carrying nothing but a question and a matchbook with three matches remaining. The hollow breathes — walls contract and expand in rhythm with something you can't see. Every room is a memory someone left behind, and every memory has teeth.
We built this across four weekends in a studio apartment. The map system came to us at 3am and we scrawled it on a pizza box. †
† lol the pizza box is still on the wall. it's the canonical map.
Velvet Circuit
Signals pulse through velvet-wrapped wires in a city that forgot it was a machine. You are a courier — not of packages, but of feelings. Each delivery rewires the city's emotional architecture. The buildings blush, the bridges sigh, and the traffic lights compose haiku in morse code.
This one started as a joke during a game jam. "What if a dating sim, but the city is the love interest?" We couldn't stop laughing. Then we couldn't stop building. ‡
‡ the city's favorite color is apparently magenta. we didn't plan this.
Thornfield
The garden grows in directions that shouldn't exist. You are its keeper — armed with shears, a watering can, and a deep suspicion that the roses are plotting something. Thornfield is a strategy-puzzle game about maintaining an impossible garden where the plants have opinions and the soil remembers everything you've ever pruned.
Our most ambitious project. The procedural growth system took six months alone. Every playthrough generates a garden that has never existed before and will never exist again. ※
※ one tester grew a hedge maze that spelled out a confession. we're still processing that.
Colophon
MiRiS was founded in the spring of 2019 by a small gathering of friends who believed that games are letters you write to strangers.
See you at the next game jam.
