EYES

a greenhouse of looking  ·  peonies, marigolds, and ferns kept under sepia glass

breathe on the glass — something blooms

Specimen 00  ·  Paeonia memoriae

What is eyes.team?

eyes.team is not a company. it is a greenhouse of looking — a small conservatory for the slow, unprofitable art of noticing. we press color into glass. we catalog the small miracles other people walk past. when you hover, the condensation clears; when you scroll, the season changes.

everything here was hand-drawn in CSS and SVG, which is another way of saying: no photograph could hold this. the bright things are underneath the frost. you have to lean close.

p.s. — the peony above opens slightly slower on tuesdays

Specimen 01  ·  Tagetes observans

We keep a marigold for attention.

attention is the pollen of modern life — everyone harvesting, no one planting. so we grow our own. in this corner of the greenhouse, every mote of notice becomes something small and golden, pressed flat between two sheets of warm glass.

the marigold blinks when nobody is watching.

Specimen 02  ·  Filix curiositas

We keep a fern for curiosity.

the fern uncurls slowly, revealing a smaller fern, which contains a smaller one still. this is how we work: questions inside questions, each one a softer green. if you find the bottom of the spiral, please write us a letter. we suspect it does not exist.

fractal, but in an unhurried way

Specimen 03  ·  Semina futura

We keep seeds — just in case.

every project is also a pocket full of seed-pods. some will sprout. most will sit in a small paper envelope on the windowsill, waiting. we are not embarrassed by this. the envelope, labelled in a tired botanist's handwriting, is sometimes the whole point.

plant in warm ivory soil. water with attention.

The Greenhouse Heart

We build small, looking things.

eyes.team is a studio for browsers, for botanists, for anyone who remembers that a webpage can also be a room — a place with a temperature, a smell of wet leaves, a particular angle of afternoon. we make sites that behave like conservatories: warm, quiet, occasionally surprising.

we work slowly. we prefer pressed flowers to pop-ups. when we ship, we ship like seeds: quietly, in paper envelopes, with instructions in green pencil. most of our favorite details will only be found by people who linger — the marigold behind the frost is not for everyone. that is the point.

— the team, from somewhere damp and bright
