V.
Dawn
Light pressure builds against the east wall at 06:47. The kettle has not yet been filled. Birds test a single note, then repeat.
VI.
Noon
The sun is precisely above the elevator shaft. Shadows shorten to a thumbprint. Someone pours water from a glass carafe — the sound is a small, polished bell.
VII.
Dusk
A long blue descent. The glass towers flatten into graphite silhouettes. Windows switch on, one per minute, like a countdown typed in reverse.
VIII.
Night
The dashboard dims to graphite. Fans exhale softly in the server rooms. A single cursor blinks in an empty document — the day's final heartbeat.
