A journal from the deep
Deep beneath the surface, where bioluminescent currents weave through forgotten coral spires, lies the Archive. Every NPC who ever offered a quest, every shopkeeper who sold a wooden sword for too many gold pieces, every mysterious stranger at the tavern entrance — their stories are recorded here, growing like living coral on the reef walls.
The thermocline marks the boundary between surface dwellers and those who have chosen the deep. Water temperature drops. Light bends. The quest log begins to glow with its own light.
The deeper you go, the more the reef remembers. Every quest completed leaves a mark in the coral — a new branch, a new color.
Beyond the reef, where no light from the surface reaches, the oldest quest logs pulse with their own phosphorescence. Here the NPCs are ancient, their dialogue trees grown into vast coral networks that span the ocean floor.
Every NPC has a story. Every quest has a purpose. The reef grows with each completed adventure. What will your mark be?
