npc.quest
What if the most important character in the story was the one you never bothered to talk to?
THE QUEST BOARD
Retrieve the lost archives from the forgotten server room. Navigate through legacy code dungeons and deprecated API catacombs.
Guide the junior developer through the production deployment pipeline. Protect them from merge conflicts and breaking changes.
Confront the legacy monolith. No documentation exists. The original developer left three years ago. Good luck, adventurer.
THE DIALOGUE TREE
Greetings, traveler. You look like someone who actually reads the dialogue instead of mashing the skip button.
I have a quest for you. It is not glamorous. There will be no cutscene. But the rewards are... adequate.
You see, every town needs someone to stand by the well and dispense cryptic advice. That someone is me. And now, that someone is also you.
The hero gets the glory. The villain gets the monologue. But the NPC? The NPC gets the truth. We see everything from the sidelines.
Accept this quest, and remember: you can always come back and talk to me again. I will say exactly the same thing. That is my power.
THE INVENTORY
Every story needs its background characters. This is their domain.
