dirac proposed it in 1931. a single magnetic charge, unbound from its twin. if one exists anywhere in the universe, all electric charge becomes quantized. the search continues.
urban design
every city has a center it cannot name. the place where all streets converge but nothing is built. the monopole is the empty lot at the heart of the plan.
philosophy
what if a thing could have direction without opposition? what if north existed without south? the monopole asks: is symmetry a law or a habit?
