Declaration of Martial Law

NOW, THEREFORE, I, as President of the Republic, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby proclaim and declare that a state of martial law shall henceforth prevail throughout the land.

All persons shall observe the curfew hours to be announced by the military authorities from time to time. No person shall keep, possess or carry any firearm, ammunition, or explosive unless authorized.

All media of communications including telephone, telegraph, radio and television shall be subject to military censorship. The publication or distribution of any newspaper, magazine, or periodical is hereby prohibited without prior authorization.
