When this interface corrupts, it does not dissolve into static. It crumbles like dried earth. The glitch artifacts here are rendered in ochre and rust rather than cyan and magenta. Signal decay reveals fired terracotta substrates -- geological events, not digital failures.
This interface is a courtyard. Discrete modules of varying proportions arrange themselves in patterns derived from Islamic geometric ratios -- 1:1, 1:1.618, 1:2, 2:3. No two adjacent tiles share the same dimension. The grid breathes through void spaces, the mortar lines between modules glow with trapped heat.
Every visit produces a unique composition. The zellige tessellations regenerate with subtle variation. The fault lines trace new paths across module surfaces. The ember particles drift through different trajectories. This is not a static document. It is a living ceramic surface that responds to the heat of observation.
No photographs. No stock images. Every visual element on this surface is generated algorithmically -- Voronoi tessellations with controlled randomness, filled with the colors of fired clay. The irregular polygons simulate hand-cut tiles with visible mortar. Computation producing craft. Mathematics producing warmth.
Every 8 to 15 seconds, a row of modules experiences signal decay. The event is brief -- a skew, a hue shift, a horizontal slice displaced by a few pixels. It reads as heat distortion or a memory glitch. Not a system error. A geological event. The interface acknowledges its own fragility and transforms it into atmosphere.
