A parallel journey through the art of concurrency
In the beginning, there was one path. One instruction followed another, obedient and sequential. The processor marched forward, line by line, never looking sideways. It was simple. It was safe. It was unbearably slow.
A single thread of execution — faithful, linear, and blind to the vast potential of parallel worlds running just out of reach. Every task waited its turn. Every process stood in line. The CPU ticked, and the world moved one step at a time.
The first thread races ahead, processing data, transforming inputs, building the foundation. It doesn't wait. It doesn't care what Thread Beta is doing. Independence is its superpower.

Not all concurrent paths converge peacefully. Sometimes two threads read-modify-write the same value, and the universe splits. The result depends on timing — on which electron arrived a nanosecond sooner. This is the race condition: the ghost in the machine.
It's the bug that appears on Tuesdays under heavy load. The corruption that vanishes when you add a print statement. The Heisenbug. Concurrency's shadow side — beautiful in theory, terrifying in practice.
