We design by removing. Every element that survives our process has earned its presence through the elimination of everything that could not justify itself.
Density and void. Warmth and cold. Stillness and motion. The contradiction is not resolved; it is practiced.
Design is the practice of contradiction. Every decision is simultaneously an assertion and a negation. To choose a color is to reject all others. To set a typeface is to silence every voice but one. The studio exists in this tension, this productive paradox where the spear of ambition meets the shield of restraint. We do not resolve the contradiction. We inhabit it. We let it generate the work. Each project begins in darkness and silence, and what emerges has survived the most ruthless question we know: does this need to exist? If the answer is not immediate and absolute, it does not survive. What remains is not minimal by accident but essential by conviction.
