Spirit Intensity Barometer

This vertical barometer tracks the intensity of spiritual energy permeating the immediate environment. The enchanted mercury responds to fluctuations in the veil between worlds, rising through five states of manifestation from Dormant to Transcendent. The mercury itself is infused with spectrally-charged quicksilver, harvested under a blood moon.

Sighting I

At 03:17 hours, a luminous fog bank was observed drifting eastward at 2 knots. Instruments detected faint harmonic resonance at 432 ψHz, consistent with ancestral chorus phenomena.

The compass needle spun wildly for fourteen seconds before settling on a heading that does not correspond to any known cardinal direction. Crew refers to it as "Spiritward."
