the puzzle network beneath
branching paths
A network of nodes, each connected by invisible threads. Find the path that visits every node exactly once -- the mycelium route that feeds the entire forest.
spore counting
Each puffball releases spores in a Fibonacci sequence. Given three colonies with overlapping dispersal ranges, calculate the intersection density at the forest center.
canopy coverage
The forest floor receives light through gaps in the canopy. Model the dappled pattern as a Voronoi diagram and find the largest contiguous shadow region.
Puzzles are not inventions. They are discoveries -- patterns that existed in the branching of rivers, the tessellation of crystals, the networks of fungi long before any mind named them. To solve a puzzle is not to conquer nature but to briefly perceive one of its hidden symmetries.
