a journey across dimensions
DIM-001 · origin pointIn every system with enough moving parts, paths begin to fork. Not catastrophically, not with fanfare -- quietly, like two rivers sharing a source but finding different routes to the sea. The first divergence is always the hardest to notice. By the time you realize the landscape has changed, you are already deep in a parallel world.
This is where the quest begins: at the moment of branching, where one timeline becomes two. Your mission is to map the territory between them, to find the points where they nearly touch, where a whisper in one dimension echoes as thunder in another.
DIM-002 · first fork · bearing 047°The space between parallel worlds is not empty. It is tessellated -- divided into territories by the forces that keep dimensions apart. Each cell in this pattern holds a different version of the same question: what would happen if? The boundaries between cells are thin, vibrating with the energy of almost-contact.
Navigate the tessellation carefully. The cells that look most similar to your origin are often the most disorienting. Familiarity is the most dangerous kind of foreign landscape.
DIM-003 · tessellated zone · cell 47-BAt the center of every parallel system, there is a resonance point -- a frequency at which all dimensions vibrate in sympathy. Find the resonance and you find the connective tissue of the multiverse. It sounds like a hum, or like silence with structure. It looks like concentric circles rippling outward from a stone dropped into still water.
The resonance point is not a place. It is a relationship between places. It exists only while you are looking for it, and it moves when you try to stay.
