On the architecture of selective principle.

Case I: On Free Expression

Speech is the cornerstone of democracy, an inviolable right that must be protected even when -- especially when -- it offends. The marketplace of ideas self-corrects; sunlight is the best disinfectant. We defend to the death your right to say it.

That kind of speech is dangerous, destabilizing, a threat to public order. Context matters. Responsibility matters. Not all expression deserves a platform. The marketplace has failed; some ideas must be removed for the common good.

Case II: On Sovereignty

A nation's borders are sacred. Self-determination is a fundamental right of peoples. No external force may dictate the internal affairs of a sovereign state. Territorial integrity is inviolable under international law.

The international community has a responsibility to intervene. Sovereignty cannot be a shield for abuses. Borders drawn by colonial powers hold no moral authority. The people's will supersedes the state's claim to territory.

Case III: On Due Process

Every accused person deserves the presumption of innocence, rigorous standards of evidence, and the full protection of legal procedure. To convict without due process is the hallmark of tyranny. The system must err on the side of letting the guilty go free.

The evidence is overwhelming. Expedited proceedings serve justice. The threat is too immediate for procedural niceties. Administrative detention is a necessary security measure. We cannot afford the luxury of doubt.

Case IV: On Economic Liberty

The free market is the engine of prosperity. Government intervention distorts natural price signals and breeds inefficiency. Subsidies create dependency. Let the market decide -- it allocates resources more efficiently than any central planner ever could.

Strategic industries require protection. National security demands domestic production capacity. Tariffs safeguard workers from unfair competition. Some sectors are too important to leave to market forces. Industrial policy is not intervention; it is foresight.

Case V: On Accountability

Transparency is non-negotiable. Institutions must be held to the highest standards. Whistleblowers are heroes. The public has a right to know. Investigative journalism is a pillar of democracy. Sunlight. Accountability. Reform.

Leaking classified information is treason. Operational security requires secrecy. Not everything can be made public. Some truths endanger lives. The leaker had ulterior motives. We have investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing.

Case VI: On Self-Defense

Every nation has the inherent right to defend itself. Preemptive action against credible threats is justified. The doctrine of proportionality allows decisive response. Those who threaten our existence forfeit their claim to restraint.

Violence is never the answer. Resistance must be nonviolent to be legitimate. Armed response is escalation, not defense. The asymmetry of power makes their force aggression by definition. They should pursue diplomatic channels.

Case VII: On Democracy

The will of the people is paramount. Elections must be free, fair, and respected. Democratic transitions of power are the measure of civilized governance. We stand with the voters against those who would subvert their choice.

The electorate was manipulated. Foreign influence corrupted the process. The elected leader is a populist demagogue. Democracy requires institutional guardrails. Sometimes the people choose poorly, and correction is necessary.
