A living system of design archetypes
Every grid line is calculated to the pixel. Every type size derived from a modular scale. Every whitespace unit a multiple of 8px. And then the leaves break across those grids in deliberate, beautiful violations.
The Swiss system provides the bones. The organic motifs provide the soul. This is the core tension that defines archetype.moe: mathematical rigor softened by the imperfections of living things.
We draw from the Basel School tradition of Muller-Brockmann and Hofmann. The 12-column grid. The systematic type scale. The horizontal rules as organizational elements. But we transplant these into a living, breathing digital space.
Imagine a Zurich design studio where someone left the windows open all spring: precise grids invaded by tender leaf tendrils, mathematical ratios softened by organic growth.
No photographs. No raster images. No illustrations beyond five leaf forms. Visual richness comes entirely from typography, whitespace, color blocks, and SVG botanicals. This is radical restraint in service of focus.
The approachable-casual tone means none of this feels academic. It feels like flipping through a beautifully printed zine in a sunlit cafe.
The grid is not a cage. It is a trellis—a structure for growth, a framework that living things climb and eventually transform.
archetype.moe — where precision meets the organic
Every archetype begins as a seed. Every system grows from a single, deliberate decision. This is the starting point.
